Rajinikanth said, "I came here to receive an award and not to make a speech that too after such an excellent speech by Amit Ji. I have no words to speak now. About 5 to 6 times, I couldn't make it to the IFFI before.
This time I am fortunate and honored to receive such a prestigious award. I thank the Government of India and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. I dedicate this award to all my producers, directors, technicians and fans. Thank you very much".
