Director Vysakh slammed the rumours which suggest that his Mohanlal starrer project Puli Murugan is shelved. The director made it clear that Puli Murugan is not shelved. and the scripting of the movie is in pipeline. Vysakh confirmed that Mohanlal will join the project, after completing his current commitments.
Puli Murugan is an ambitious project for Vysakh. Reportedly, scenarist duo Udaya Krishna- Sibi K Thomas are working on the script of the movie.

Puli Murugan is produced by Tomichan Mulakupaadam, under the banner Mulakupaadam Films. Rest of the cast and further details about the movie are yet to be revealed.

Vysakh is currently going through a low phase in his career, with the consecutive box office failures- Visudhan and Cousins.

The latter, which was a highly anticipated big-budget project, emerged as a huge box office disaster and the director earned highly negative reviews for the half-baked narrative style of the movie.

Mohanlal is currently busy with final schedule of upcoming Sathyan Anthikad project, in which he will be pairing up with Manju Warrier. The actor recently completed the shoot for Joshiy directed Lailaa O Lailaa and is all set to begin the dubbing works for the film.
