Praising Rajinikanth's screenplay writing skills, he even recollected a memorable chat he had with the Lingaa star a few years ago, Ilaiyaraaja said,"I once asked him why don't you write a script for yourself? You can write so well.
For which Rajinikanth answered by saying swamy, that is different swamy". Also praising Kamal Haasan's singing ability, Ilaiyaraaja has disclosed that among all the actors those who have sung for him, the best singer is undoubtedly Kamal Haasan.
"His grasping power is fantastic, be it the scene or music", said the celebrated musician. Talking about Amitabh Bachchan, he not only called Big B unbelievable, very nice and wonderful, but also termed him a very good singer.
"I have heard him sing before I composed music for him. Balki made me listen to that. His singing is very nice and he keeps his sur in mind",said the legendary music director. Ilaiyaraaja's latest work is Shamitabh that features Dhanush, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshara
Haasan in the lead. The film which is directed by Balki has already received positive reviews directed towards the background score and performances based on its trailer. The songs of Shamitabh too is attracting positive reviews from critics as well as fans.
