Directed by Vikramjit Singh, Roy witnessed a considerable occupancy on the first day of its release and enjoyed a moderate Box Office business on its first day.
The movie Roy witnessed occupancy of almost 50 percent in the multiplexes on its opening day which is a decent start as it's a normal weekday. Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer
Roy created a lot of hype since the release of its trailer and the film's wonderful music further worked in its favour.
Although, Roy received mixed response from the critics, the film's first day Box Office collection was considerably good. As per early estimates, the movie Roy made a Box Office collection
of Rs 6.2 crores (approx) on its opening day that is on Friday. The romantic thriller, Roy happens to be the first directorial venture of Vikramjit Singh, while, it's the first film
of Arjun Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor after a long gap. It is expected that Roy's Box Office collection will witness a decent hike in the weekends, Saturday being Valentine's Day.
