The condition was also making it hard for him to speak and would often result in nasal congestion. Doctors had initially recommended Septoplasty, a corrective surgical procedure done to straighten the nasal septum.
Due to his commitments, he was not able to undergo the surgical procedure all these days. Since his next film hasn't gone on floors, Ajith has taken out time to throw his long term problem out of the window.
The surgery took place today morning at a private hospital in Chennai. Famous ENT specialist, Dr. M.K. Rajashekar performed the operation successfully and Ajith is well on his way to recovery, said a source close to the Yennai Arindhaal star.
His next film, tentatively titled as Acchamillai is expected to go on floors once Ajith is completely recovered. The film which will be directed by Siva, who earlier directed Veeram, is touted to be a thriller set in Kolkata.
Though the cast and crew of the film is not yet officially confirmed, sources close to the project have already revealed that Shruti Haasan might most likely play the female lead while Anirudh will take care of the musical bit.
