Ajith, Vijay Among Vijay Awards Winners List 2015

Ever since Vijay Awards, which is aimed at recognizing excellence in cinematic achievements (Tamil cinema), began in 2006, it has been a huge success year after year. After eight successful years of giving away number of awards,
its ninth edition is all set to take place on 25th of April at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. This time around, a list of names, which is claimed to be the winners list is doing rounds in social media

networks and has already caught the attention of many. Though we are not sure if this below mentioned list is the actual list of the winners, it would be worthy enough to bring the list to your notice, we presume. 

Five special awards are given away each year, special because it is alleged that the winners of these awards are actually chosen by public through voting and is termed 'Favourite Awards'. According to the list doing rounds, favourite awards for this year will be given away to:

Ajith for Veeram(favourite actor) Samantha for Kaththi(favourite actress) Velaiyilla Pattathari(favourite movie) AR Murugadoss for Kaththi(favourite director) 'Amma Amma' from Velaiyilla Pattathari(favourite song)

Entertainer Of The Year Ilayathalapathy Vijay has been chosen as the entertainer of the year as he dished out two super hit movies, Jilla and Kaththi, last year. While Jilla completed a 100 day run, Kaththi  joined the 100 crore club and became the highest grossing Tamil film of the year.

Best Actor And now we come to the jury awards. Dinesh has bagged the Best Actor award for his amazing performance in the movie Cuckoo, according to the list. His portrayal of a blind person was much appreciated by critics at the time of the movie's release.

Best Actress Nayantara's performance was the only saving grace in the movie Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal, a few might have thought when the movie was released. Hence Nayantara bags the Best Actress award for the Udhayanidhi Stalin starrer Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal.

Best Comedian Santhanam has now made this a habit. Winning it for the sixth consecutive time, he bags the Best Comedian award for Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal and Veeram, it is said. Going by the number of films he is featured in every year, he is his own competitor at the moment.

Best Villain No rewards for guessing who the best Villain is. Bobby Simha, who recently won the National Award for Jigarthanda is the Best Villain. Interestingly, Bobby won the National Award under Best Supporting Actor category.

Best Supporting Actor Rajkiran's acting was hailed in the movie Manjapai  and hence he has bagged the Best Supporting Actor for the said movie. He's been doing more and more character roles and is awaiting the release of his latest venture Sivappu.

Best Supporting Actress Saranya Ponvannan is one of the favourite moms of Kollywood at the moment. Her portrayal as Dhanush's mother in the film Velaiyilla Pattathari  was as impressive as it can get and hence she is the Best Supporting Actress for the said movie.

Best Music Director Anirudh had a field day last year with almost each and every album of his going on to become chartbusters and hence not surprisingly he is the Best Music Director for the film Velaiyilla Pattathari.

Best Director Known for his experimentation and the urge to fabricate unique films, director Mysskin struck gold through Pisaasu as it became one of the most profitable Tamil films of the year. He is the Best Director for intertwining a supernatural drama with a beautiful romance.

Best Movie With a strong story line and a wonderful critical reception, Cuckoo is the alleged Best Movie of the year. Directed by Raju Murugan and produced by Fox Star Studios, this movie was easily one of the best among many releases in Tamil last year.

Best Debut Actress If Dinesh's performance in Cuckoo was mesmerizing, debutant Malavika nair wasn't far behind in portraying the role of a young visually impaired girl. She has been chosen as the Best Debut Actress for Cuckoo.

Best Editor Once again no surprises here, Vivek Harshan, who won the National Award for Jigarthanda has another award under his belt for his wonderful editing in Jigarthanda.

Best Male Playback Singer This is a surprise alright, Dhanush is the Best Male Playback Singer for crooning some amazing numbers in Velaiyilla Pattathari. It might not come across as a surprise in the near future as Dhanush is fast becoming a professional singer.

Best Female Playback Singer Shreya Ghoshal has been adjudged as the Best Female Playback Singer for her song 'Yengirindhu Vandhayo' in the movie Kayal.

Best Stunt Director And the Best Stunt Director award goes to Stunt Silva for the movie Veeram, according to the list.

Best Story, Screenplay Writer Cinematographer-director Velraj bags the Best Story, Screenplay Writer award for the movie Velaiyilla Pattathari.

Chevalier Sivaji Ganesan Award for Excellence in Indian Cinema This is a special award given in the name of the legendary actor Sivaji Ganesan. Looks like maestro Ilaiyaraaja has been honoured with this prestigious award this time around.
