The 1st Mangalam Film Awards has been announced. Mammootty won the award for Best Actor, for his performance in Munnariyippu. Achievement Award. Vellimoonga, directed by Jibu Jacob, bagged the trophy for Best Movie. The winners are selected through a gallop poll conducted by the Mangalam online channel and a special jury,
which includes director Lenin Rajendran, producer Suresh Kumar and cinematographer Sunny Joseph. The awards will be distributed at the silver jubilee celebrations of Mangalam Daily, which will be held on April 18th, in Kottayam.
