Malayalam Actresses And Their Remuneration

Acting is doubtlessly one of the most glamorous professions of our country. The actors have various income sources other than the movies, including the stage shows, brand endorsements, television shows etc. But at the same time,
the actors have been harshly criticized by the filmmakers and producers for the constant hikes in the remuneration; which badly affects the execution of low budget ventures.  Recently, popular director

 Lal Jose has revealed that he decided to try new faces; especially heroines, due to the huge remuneration of the already established actresses. Veteran filmmaker Balachandra Menon has also remarked that salary is one of the 

major factors which affects the casting of his films. The director decided to play the lead roles of his films by himself, after some of the popular actors rejected his movie offer due to remuneration issues. 

Similarly, director Hariharan has revealed that Mohanlal has rejected his multiple movie offers, upon the differences regarding the salary. He dropped a project due to Mohanlal's heavy remuneration and worked 

for the movie Ennu Swantham Janakikutty, with the actor's salary as the whole budget. As per the latest statistics, Manju Warrier who recently made a comeback into acting, is the highest paid actress of contemporary Malayalam Cinema. 

Nayantara, who has already established herself as one of the leading actress of South Indian cinema, comes in the second position.

Manju Warrier Manju Warrier is the highest paid of contemporary Malayalam Cinema. As per the recent reports, she charges 50 to 75 lakhs per movie, and 1 crore for brand endorsements. 

Nayantara Nayantara, who is one of the highest paid actress of South Indian Cinema, charges Rs 1.5 crores for Tamil and Telugu movies. The actress charges 35 to 50 lakhs for Malayalam cinemas. 

Amala Paul Amala Paul is one of the Malayalam actresses who entered who made it big in the South Indian movie industry. The actress who charges 1 crore for Tamil and Telugu films and 30 lakhs for Malayalam films.

Priya Mani Priya Mani, the National Award winning actress who is much active in the Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movie industries, charges 20 to 25 lakhs per movies, in Malayalam movie industry for Malayalam movies.

Kavya Madhavan Kavya Madhavan, who has been active in the movie industry since last 2 decades, is reportedly charging 17 to 25 lakhs per movie.

Mamta Mohandas Mamta Mohandas, who is active with both glamorous and performance oriented roles, has been charging 18 to 25 lakhs per movie, in Malayalam movie industry. 

Nithya Menen Nithya Menen, the actress who is highly popular in the South Indian movie industry, has been charging 15 to 25 lakhs per movies, in Malayalam movie industry.

Bhavana Bhavana, who is one of the leading actresses of Malayalam and Kannada movie industries, has been charging 10 to 25 lakhs per movies, when it comes to Malayalam movie industry. 

Rima Kallingal Rima Kallingal, the actress who is also active as a professional dancer, is reportedly charging 12 to 15 lakhs per movies. 

Remya Nambeesan Remya Nambeesan, the actress turned singer, who is highly active in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada movie industries, has been charging 12 lakhs for a Malayalam film.
