Opening Weekend(First 3 Days) Box Office Collections: Romeo Juliet Pips Inimey Ippadithaan

It is not often you get to witness two rom-com's release on the same day in Kollywood. Last Friday(12th June), not only did that happen, but the movies have so far scored well at the box office too. While everyone knew
what to expect from the Santhanam starrer Inimey Ippadithan, Romeo Juliet had created a lot of buzz because of its star value and thus released with an obvious edge over its contemporary.

And that has clearly shown in its box office collections, at least in the city of Chennai. With a bounty of ₹72.7 lakh from its opening weekend(first three days), Romeo Juliet emerged as the clear winner. On the other hand, Inimey 

Ippadithan too had decent number of visitors as the movie enjoyed an 'above average opening', collecting ₹44.6 lakh from the capital city.

Based on good word of mouth and Santhanam's ability to pull family audience into cinema halls, not only in Chennai but also in B and

 C centres, might improve Inimey Ippadithaan's tally considerably by the end of this week, according to trade sources.
