Maari Weekend (First Three Days) Box Office Predictions

After the release of Dhanush's Maari, it is now time to turn our attention toward its box office collections. Though it is way too early to determine the official first day (Friday) collections of the movie, based on the trade talks, the first weekend collections of Maari  can be predicted.
On the first day of its release, Maari  received average to above average reviews from critics, but had managed to sweep all Dhanush fans off their feet, for it remains to be a huge treat for them. But the question is, can Dhanush fans 

alone take up the responsibility of making the film a box office hit? I'm afraid the answer is no, especially considering the

 strong hostility it will face from Baahubali  over the weekend. But what will work in favour of Maari  is its raw nativity and hence the action-comedy entertainer might have overwhelming response in B and

 C centres. Also the fact, Maari  is the only Tamil film that released just before the eve of Eid, makes it that much more easier for it to cash in on the festive weekend to perhaps fish out lots of dough.

First Day Prediction From Tamil Nadu Maari  enjoyed good theatre occupancy throughout the state with many cinema halls running to packed houses. According to trade talks, the film might've grossed close to 3.5 crore rupees from its first day alone in the whole of Tamil Nadu.

First Day Prediction From ROI From remaining parts of the country, the Dhanush starrer is predicted to have collected ₹80 lakh with major contribution coming from the capital city of Karnataka, Bangalore.

Second Day Prediction From Tamil Nadu On its second day (Saturday), Maari's collection is estimated to drop a touch based on the review from a general movie goer and the stiff competition from Baahubali. In Tamil Nadu, the movie could gather 2.8 crore rupees.

Second Day Prediction From ROI From rest of India (ROI), due to Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan and of course Baahubali, the collections might drop drastically. It is estimated that Maari  could walk away with ₹55 lakh from its second day.

Third Day Prediction From Tamil Nadu On its first Sunday, Maari  might do well in the state of Tamil Nadu owing to the holiday. According to early estimates, the film could go on to collect close to 3 crore rupees.
