MS Viswanathan(MSV) Passes Away, Celebrities Pay Respect To The Legendary Musician

A few days back we had reported that legendary music director MS Viswanathan(MSV) was battling for his life at Fortis Malar hospital, Chennai. Today, his soul is liberated from physical bonds as he passes away, beginning his journey toward a
much superior realm. The 87 year old genius who served Indian cinema for more than 6 decades was undergoing treatment for acute shortness of breath and other age related complications. His sufferings came 

to an end today morning. MS Viswanathan who is survived by three daughters and four sons has composed music for more than 1200 films in Hindi and all four South Indian languages. Fondly called as 'Mellisai 

Mannar' (The King of Light Music), he has a rare distinction of working with three Tamil Nadu CM's; MG Ramachandran, M Karunanidhi and J Jayalalitha. Beginning his journey as a music director along with TK Ramamoorthy

 in the year 1952, the famed duo composed for over 100 films before parting ways in 1965. After he became an independent music director, he went on to infuse various genres of music into Tamil cinema by

 blending western music with classical tunes, which earned him a wide recognition. He is considered as a founding father who unlocked a 

great musical mystery in Tamil cinema, which is being used by new age musicians even today; the fusion of two or more genres.

Praying For The Departed Superstar Rajinikanth is seen praying for MSV's soul to attain peace.  

One Final Rest AR Rahman had tweeted, "MSV took us to deepest core of Tamil & colorful melodies over past 40 yrs We've lost our beloved melodic genius May almighty bless his soul".

Surrounded By His Near And Dear Ones MSV took birth in Palakkad, Kerala. He lost his father when he was four and escaped a certain death when his mother tried to kill him and herself to escape poverty. He was saved by his grandfather then.

MSV Forever Though he left the planet today, the great music director will be remembered forever and will continue to live in the creation of his own music.

Rajinikanth Rajinikanth is seen paying homage to the legendary music composer, singer and actor.

Sivakumar Actor Sivakumar pays his last respect to the maverick musician. For most part of his career, the actor has worked with MSV.

M Saravanan M Saravanan of AVM productions is seen approaching MSV's house. AVM productions and MS Viswanathan have worked together in many movies.

Addressing The Media Rajinikanth was seen addressing the media outside MSV's house. He shared his grief and said that MSV's demise is a great loss to Indian cinema.

Chinni Jayanth Well known comedian Chinni Jayanth too made his presence felt by making his public appearance for the first time in many years.

Prabhu With S Janaki Actor Prabhu is seen greeting legendary singer S Janaki. Janaki has sung many beautiful melodies under MSV's music.
