Recently there were speculations doing rounds claiming that director Suresh Krissna is planning a sequel to his 1995 blockbuster hit Baasha with Thala Ajith in the lead. With Ajith already finding success by reprising a role portrayed by Rajinikanth in Billa,
the idea of him featuring in Baasha 2 seemed convincing enough. However, Suresh Krissna has rubbished such claims by saying that he has no such plans. In fact, the Baba director has said that he had not even thought
about penning such a script. But the filmmaker has expressed his interest to work with Ajith by saying that he can only hope and wish that the rumour comes true and materializes into an entertaining cinema.
Rajinikanth's Baasha was one of the biggest hits in Suresh Krissna's career and the director would sure love to dish out yet another blockbuster and who knows, Baasha 2 might well be his best possible answer.
