Tevar Review: Tevariffic! You Will Enjoy It..

After three weeks of hangover of PK, Tevar is here to give us all some respite. The first big film release of the year 2015, Tevar is a remake of director Gunasekhar's Telugu film Okkadu which was also made in Tamil as Gilli. In both the languages it was a super duper hit. Will it be yet another super hit movie in Bollywood too?
Let us wait and watch. Director Amit, a star filmmaker in ad industry debuts into feature film with Tevar. He says, "Tevar will be called a remake but it's more like how I looked at the central idea of the original and made it my way." Story The story starts from Agra. Pintoo (Arjun Kapoor) is a young and fun loving Kabbadi player who goes to factionism hit Kurnool for a life changing Kabbadi match.

In a sudden twist of fate, Pintoo saves Radhika (Sonakshi Sinha) from Gajendar Singh (Manoj Bajpayee), who falls in love with her at the first sight (whether she loves him or not is not a question). Gajendar is a dangerous faction leader, who is in love with Radhika and wants to marry her. Pintoo tries to comfort Radhika who witnesses her brothers death caused by Gajendar Singh and brings her to his house in Hyderabad from the clutches of the villain and plans to send her abroad.

The story gets complicated when Radhika falls for Pintoo. It gets even more interesting when Pintoo's dad is the top Cop in charge of finding Radhika, as per the order of corrupt home minister of the state. As any Bollywood story goes, the villain is backed by the home minister. Forced to keep Radhika in a hideout, Pintoo conceals her in Charminar, this forms an integral part of the story.

Whether Pintoo will win the match that changes his life, Will he get united to radhika forms the rest of the story! Arjun Kapoor as Pintoo plays a normal guy minus any in-your-face heroism. He suits this role to the T. Stunts performed are too good and not thrusted into screenplay. Sonakshi Sinha as a village belle and then as a girl falling in love with Arjun has portrayed the emotions very well.

Sonakshi is brilliant onscreen, after her performance in Lootera, she has excelled in Tevar now. Manoj Bajpayee, as the typical villain, has acted very naturally. While watching the film, one gets the feeling of really thrashing this guy as he exudes the villainous streak, just the right amount at the right place. Cinematographer Laxman Utekar has shown an excellent work through his camera. The rustic beauty of Agra

and Mathura has been captured in all its shabby splendor. Songs from the movie have been topping the chart busters already, special mention on the 'Joganiyan' song which is just soothing to listen. Item number with Shruthi Haasan also is foot tapping. Director Amit Sharma as a debutant feature filmmaker

has done a decent work. With big star cast  and producers like Boney Kapoor & Sanjay Kapoor, he has entered Bollywood with a bang! Although, the movie is a remake and is seen by many in both Telugu and Tamil, Tevar is just Tevariffic and you will ENJOY it!!

Sonakshi Sinha Sonakshi Sinha has lost a lot of weight and looks absolutely stunning. Sonakshi Sinha as Radhika has done a decent work in Tevar.
