Film production designer T Muthuraj who has worked as an art director in the most awaited upcoming film I starring Vikram and Amy Jackson has opened up about Vikram's unbelievable dedication to bring Shankar's dream on screen.
He said," There were times when we had to repeatedly call him. The complete starving had dampened his senses.
Who will do all this? Can somebody go to this extent? Vikram is a phenomenal artist." When asked about his make up for the hunchback character, Muthuraj said, Vikram had
to sit inside a small AC box after bearing with the make up artists for five hours. Before the shot and during the breaks, the AC box with wheels attached would be pushed around the sets with Vikram inside it.
The famed art director also said that Vikram was so feeble and weak after losing nearly 50 kilograms that a mere sound of a hammer hitting a nail would send intolerable pain to his body. Such was the dedication displayed by the amazing actor. He also went on to say that no
appreciation or awards can match up to the efforts put in by Vikram to just make each of his characters look distinctive in the movie. "He has given heart and soul to each of his characters",
said Muthuraj. I, which is slated to hit theatres soon is all set to mesmerize the audience visually. The movie stars Upen Patel, Suresh Gopi and Santhanam in important roles. While PC Sreeram has wielded the camera, AR Rahman has composed music for this highly anticipated movie.
