Ajith's Yennai Arindhaal First Day Box Office Report: A New Record Created!

Thala Ajith's Yennai Arindhaal  is all set to break and create box office records for a Tamil film. Based on its prodigious opening, trade sources

 have revealed that the latest Ajith starrer has already gone past the likes of Arrambam when it comes to the box office collections, especially in the USA.
Out of 98 screens in which Yennai Arindhaal  was released in the Land of Liberty, the movie has so far managed to collect a grand $113,232 from just 75 screens(premier shows). There were many sold out shows and this is the highest for any Ajith movie, a reliable source disclosed. It is also said

that Yennai Arindhaal  has made good business from its special premier shows in other parts of the world. In countries like Sri Lanka, Dubai and Malaysia, Ajith's 55th movie has enjoyed the biggest opening for any Thala film from just its premier shows. In Tamil Nadu, the movie got a monumental response with fans celebrating it like a festival. In Chennai, the movie was released in 54 screens and 

all 54 theatres saw an unbelievable 100 percent occupancy. It has done extremely well in other parts of Tamil Nadu as well. After its first day, the total box office collection of Yennai Arindhaal  in Tamil Nadu stands at an impressive 10.5 crores(approx). Based on its advance booking, experts have divulged that the movie will run to packed houses throughout the weekend, making

 Yennai Arindhaal an instant hit. By the end of this weekend, this latest movie of Ajith has every chance to create a new record for the biggest opening. Response in Karnataka and Kerala has been impressive too. While Kerala and Bangalore celebrated the movie with vigour, Yennai Arindhaal is also expected to do well in Andhra once its Telugu version hits the screen. Arrambam Arrambam collected approximately INR92.1 million net on the opening day in Tamil Nadu. In the US, the film earned 330,615 USD from 73 reported screens in its opening weekend.

Veeram The film collected INR11.20 crore in the opening day. On the second day it collected INR10.65 crore and third day INR9.20 crore. In first week it collected INR58 crore at the box office.

Mankatha It was said to have collected INR252 million net from 370 screens in Tamil Nadu during the opening five-day weekend, and around INR300 million net in its first week.

Billa In its opening weekend, Billa collected about INR 3 crores. In Chennai alone it collected INR 5.20 million. It is reported to have grossed more than INR 40 crores worldwide.

Billa 2 The film raked in close to INR 40 crore worldwide in its opening three-day weekend. After 4 weeks world wide collection stood at INR 120 crore.

Kireedam The final scene in the film was changed after the producers felt that the original scene may keep audiences away.The film consequently went on to become a profitable venture at the box office.

Varalaaru Varalaaru crossed the 100-day mark in several screens and also went on to become Ajith Kumar's biggest hit until the release of his 2007 film, Billa.

100 Crore Mark With an outstanding opening, Ajith's latest venture Yennai Arindhaal is expected to cross the 100 crore mark.
