Criminal and civil charge has been initiated against Shruti Haasan by the famed production company, Picture House Media Ltd, for backing out of their next venture, a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. The film starring Karthi and Nagarjuna is touted to be a big budget movie and Shruti's ''unethical and unprofessional act'' has resulted in huge financial losses and loss of reputation, according to the production house.
The legal proceedings against the Poojai actress means that she cannot sign any new movies until furthers orders are passed by the jurisdiction.
According to the actress, she couldn't commit herself to the project because of her other movies but speculations are rife that Shruti has backed out of this bilingual to concentrate on the Ajith starrer, tentatively titled, Acchamillai.
Shruti is currently shooting for a Mahesh Babu film in Telugu and for Vijay's Puli in Tamil. Sure, she is keeping herself busy alright, but with some legal restrains, her career now looks a tad edgy as she cannot sign any further projects as of now.
Disregarding Shruti's reason as a flimsy excuse, the production house said, "The dates were mutually discussed with her and schedules were planned around her convenience."
"The said movie has commenced its shoot and first schedule was completed and unexpectedly Shruti conveyed through an email that she wanted to exit the project," they added.
Will Shruti reverse her decision and settle the issue amicably? Or will she stand by her decision? Stay tuned to stay updated.
