Music Director MS Viswanathan(MSV) Shifted To ICU, Is Battling For Life

A few days ago we had reported that Maestro Ilaiyaraaja had visited legendary music director MS Viswanathan(MSV) at a private hospital as he was undergoing treatment for acute shortness of breath. The latest report, unfortunately says that MSV is in critical condition. "The 87 year old musician had recovered from
his previous condition and was about to be discharged, however, his health deteriorated last night (Tuesday) and was rushed to the ICU. He is currently battling for life", a close relative said. The maverick music director who

 served Tamil cinema for more than 6 decades, has lost his consciousness and his pulse rate has dropped. Though doctors are trying hard to resuscitate him, he is still struggling to breathe, says a report from Fortis Malar hospital at Chennai. 

The hospital also witnessed a bunch of celebrities, fans and his close friends rushing in to take a look at the ailing musician, hoping and praying for his speedy recovery. MSV who is fondly called as

 'The King of Light Music' is also known for his intriguing background score, his abilities as a singer and for his skills as an actor.

Kaadhal Mannan This Ajith starrer marked MS Viswanathan's acting debut. He had mentioned in an interview that his initial dream was to become an actor but fate had other plans for him. He, however, became an actor.

Kaathala Kaathala Playing the role of Prabhu Deva's father-in-law in this 1998 Kamal Haasan starrer, MS Viswanathan impressed one and all, not only with his acting skills but also with his impeccable dialogue deliveries.

Punnagai Poove In this 2003 Tamil romantic drama directed by D Sabapathy, MSV had a special role to play. This film also had Yuvan Shankar Raja and Sarika making guest appearances.

Thillu Mullu In this remake of the original with the same name, MS Viswanathan had made a special appearance in a song along with Yuvan Shankar Raja. The film's music was jointly composed by MSV and Yuvan.
