Two Scenes That Made Rajinikanth Reject Papanasam!

It is a known fact that director Jeethu Joseph first approached Rajinikanth as soon as the idea of remaking Drishyam in Tamil cropped up in his head. Jeethu was convinced that the Superstar would be able to add a new dimension to his movie, but however failed to convince the Lingaa star as according to a report,
Rajinikanth was not comfortable enacting two particular scenes. First scene - when the lead actor gets a thrashing from the cops. It is said that though Rajinikanth was impressed with the script, he wasn't sure if such a scene

would go down well with his fans. Second scene - The much talked about climax sequence. Unfortunately, both these scenes are an integral part of the film and Jeethu couldn't have possibly manipulated them to accommodate Rajinikanth.

The good news however is that Jeethu has assured Rajinikanth that he will meet him again with a fresh script; perhaps a script the Enthiran star might find hard to reject. Papanasam subsequently fell into

Kamal Haasan's lap and is currently setting the box office on fire. Alternatively, this could've been a perfect film for Rajinikanth considering his recent debacle at the box office.

Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram Director Suresh Krissna had revealed that he first approached Rajinikanth after he was impressed with the Kannada film titled Jogi. Rajinikanth apparently rejected the offer and suggested Dhanush's name instead, saying that the film needs a young hero.

Before approaching Vikram with the script of I, Shankar had first presented the script to Superstar Rajinikanth along with other scripts including Sivaji and Enthiran.

Mudhalvan Arjun Sarja was roped in to the project only after it was rejected by Rajinikanth and Vijay. Mudhalvan went on to become a massive hit and till today it remains as an important film in Arjun's career.

Papanasam And the latest film to join the list is Papanasam. But that's history now and the 'Thalaivar' is busy shooting for his upcoming movie with Pa Ranjith.

Upcoming Film Talking about Rajinikanth's upcoming film, it is only fair to remind you that the film is a quickie and will be completed by October. Expect the film to be released by the end of this year.

Can He Bounce Back? As Kochadaiiyaan and Lingaa did not behave like a 'Rajinikanth' movie at the box office, his next film could be one of the important movies in his long, illustrious career.
