What was speculated earlier has now been confirmed and it is not Vidya Balan but Radhika Apte who has bagged Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film being helmed by Pa Ranjith. The news is now almost official as the Dhoni  actress is expected
to sign on the dotted lines very soon, according to a report by a leading daily. It is said that an authentic source close to the project has confirmed that the actress has been finalized for the role and the same will be officially

announced soon. Radhika Apte who has acted in various languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali and Marathi is also shooting for an English flick titled Parched. The 29 year old talented

actress ventured into Tamil cinema through the 2012 Prakash Raj directorial Dhoni  and then went on to act in All in All Azhagu Raja starring Karthi and Kajal Kajal Aggarwal in lead roles.

She was then roped in as the female lead in Vetri Selvan last year which was directed by Rudhran. Her latest Tamil film Ula, is now in the post production mode.

Radhika Apte's Recent Controversies After topless photographs of Radhika Apte's look alike went viral on the internet a few months back, the actress was once again victimized when a sensitive video clip was leaked. The video was a part of Anurag Kashyap's short film.

The Beginning Ranjith-Rajinikanth project is all set to begin from next week. The team will shoot in Malaysia as a part of their project's first shooting schedule. The film is highly anticipated as a relatively young team is handling South India's biggest Superstar.

The Team Pa Ranjith has retained his technical team from his previous film Madras. While cinematography will be handled by G Murali, music will be cranked by Santhosh Narayanan. Editor Praveen KL and art director Ramalingam have also been retained. Choreographer Sathish of Yennai Arindhaal  fame has brought on board as well.

Film Not Titled 'Kaali'? A few days back, there were reports doing rounds suggesting that the project might've been titled 'Kaali'. But a source close to the project has dismissed it by saying the team is yet to lock an official title.

Not A Typical Rajinikanth Film It has been confirmed that the film will not have the usual elements a Rajinikanth flick would normally have. Instead, the yet to be titled movie will be as realistic as possible which has been Pa Ranjith's strength so far.

The Release Date Since the movie is expected to be wrapped up by the end of this year, it should most likely hit the big screen by April next year. The movie will place Pa Ranjith in an entirely different league should it go on to become a box office success.
