It's Karthi Vs Dulquer In Mani Ratnam's Revenge Drama!

It's a known fact that veteran filmmaker Mani Ratnam has roped in Karthi and Dulquer Salmaan for his next movie which is expected to go on floors pretty soon. But you might've not known that the film is an intense revenge drama that will showcase
Karthi taking on Dulquer. It is said that the two might even exchange some vigorous blows in the movie. The very story line of this upcoming movie of Mani Ratnam's might remind us of the 1988 classic Agni

Natchathiram in which Prabhu was pitted against Karthik for most part of the film. While Agni Natchathiram had Nirosha and Amala Akkineni, Keerthi Suresh of Idhu Enna Maayam fame has been roped into this Karthi-Dulquer starrer.

News regarding the complete cast and crew is awaited. Meanwhile, Mr Ratnam's previous movie O Kadhal Kanmani  has been selected to be played at the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea.

The 10 day film festival which starts from the 1st of October is considered as one of the most significant film festivals in the whole of Asia.

Vijay Sethupathi's Orange Mittai  too has been selected along with OK Kanmani  and it is said that these two Tamil movies will be played under the section,

'A Window On Asian Cinema'. Stay tuned for more updates regarding this exciting project.

Agni Natchathiram As mentioned earlier, Agni Natchathiram had Prabhu and Karthik in the lead. This is the first film in the maverick director's career, that had two top Tamil heroes at the time of its release.

Thalapathi In 1991 Mani Ratnam managed to rope in two Superstar's from two different film industries for the film named Thalapathi. It had Rajinikanth and Mammootty in the lead and went on to become a huge box office hit.

Thiruda Thiruda As the title suggests, the film deals with two petty thieves, played by Prashanth and Anand. The album of this movie received a massive response and the film was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, according to a report.

Iruvar Iruvar means 'The Duo' and the duo here refers to Mohanlal and Prakash Raj. It won two National Awards and the Best Film award at the Belgrade International Film Festival.

Raavanan With Vikram and Prithviraj playing prominent roles, Raavanan was released in 2010. The film was simultaneously made in Hindi and had Aishwarya Rai as the female lead in both the versions.

Untitled Karthi-Dulquer Project And of course, this untitled project is yet another film that deals with a dual hero subject, reminding us the fact that Mani Ratnam loves to rope in two heroes for a single movie.
