Mohanlal's fondness for lands and properties is quite known in Malayalam movie industry. The actor is extremely attached with the roles he played and the locations he has worked in. And this was the motivation behind Mohanlal's
decision to buy a piece of land in Vellayani backwaters, the location of his iconic movie Kireedam. But as per the latest reports, Mohanlal sold the 3.31 cents land and the three-storeyed building in Vellayani,
to an NRI named Sanju Pullayil, last week. According to the sale deed, the property has been sold for Rs 40 lakhs. The reports suggest that the actor completed the registration process on February 12th.
Mohanlal had sold off another property, which was located at the heart of Trivandrum city and his studio Vismaya Max, which was situated at Kinfra Park, last year. The property was bought by a NRI and popular business
group named Aries Group took over Vismaya Max. The studio name has now changed into Aries-Vismaya Max. Earlier, Mohanlal had sold off his family house in Kowdiar, Trivandrum to a highly-popular ethnic
fashion brand. He had also disposed his popular food product brand Mohanlal Taste Buds; which was later took over by Eastern Group. The reason behind the actor's decision to sale his properties and ventures still remains as a mystery.
