Nirnaayakam Movie Review: The Common Man's Voice

Nirnaayakam is a social drama directed by VK Prakash, with Asif Ali in the lead role. Nedumudi Venu and Prem Prakash play the pivotal roles. Malavika Mohanan essays the female lead. The movie is penned by Bobby-Sanjay and produced by Jose Simon and Rajesh George under the banner Jairaj Films.
Nirnaaykam Plot The movie begins with Ajay Siddharth's (Asif Ali) decision to leave NDA. Even though his ambition from the hildhood

was to become a soldier, he feels that it is not his destiny. Ajay then receives a phone call from his father (Prem Prakash), who is an advocate practicing in Kerala.

He is an ailing blood cancer patient. His parents were separated when he was 5 years old and Ajay was raised by his mother (Tisca Chopra). Ajay later comes to know that his father called him to help him

in a born marrow transplantation. But his father's goal was not to achieve a long life but to win a case for which he is appearing. How the case influence Ajay's life forms the crux of the story...

Cast And Performance It is the career best performance of Asif Ali. The actor plays the young, confused Ajay to near perfection. Prem Prakash, who essays an advocate who fights for justice even in his last days, stunned the audience with his exceptional acting skills.

But the real star of the movie is Nedumudi Venu, who manages to overshadow the rest of the actors with his fantabulous performance. Especially,

his acting skills will leave you speechless at many points, including the climax. Malavika Mohanan, who essays the female lead, has nothing much to do in the film.

Rest of the cast, incuding Sudheer Karaman, Tisca Chopra, Sanusha Santhosh, Risa Bava, Lena, Saiju Kurup, Ashokan, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Prakash Bare etc completely fit into their respective roles. Script And Direction The complete credits of the movie

goes to the brilliant script writer duo Bobby-Sanjay, who completely wins over the audience with the exceptional storyline and extraordinary scripting. The duo has completely succeeded in bringing out a socially-relevant theme with much care and strength.

Director VK Prakash deserves a special applause for bringing out the best from his actors and conceiving such a strong subject with much perfection. Technical Aspects Cinematographer Shehnad Jalal's has succeeded in making an apt ambiance for the social drama with his

exceptional shots. Mahesh Narayanan's edits and cuts add much crispiness to the movie, which deals with a serious plot. Songs And Background Score M Jayachandrans songs completely fits into the movie. Ouseppachan's background score

completely sinks into the nature of the movie and creates a perfect mood for the movie. Verdict Doubtlessly one of the best films of 2015 till date. Strongly recommended for the audiences who believe that cinema is not just for entertainment.
