Dhanush Requests His Directors To Come Up With A Sequel To Pudhupettai!

Dhanush's character in his 2006 movie Pudhupettai  was loved by all movie buffs. Dhanush himself has said in many interviews before that he absolutely loved playing Kokki Kumar. Now, the VIP actor has said that he wants to do a sequel to Pudhupettai  even before the release of his upcoming movies.
Dhanush has revealed that he got emotional after seeing himself as Kokki Kumar after 8 long years when he managed to take some time off to catch Pudhupettai  in a local TV channel that was playing the movie. It just goes on to show that the

movie and the character played by Dhanush in it still remains close to his heart. What's interesting is that he has openly requested for someone to prepare a script that will showcase him as Kokki Kumar for

the second time in a sequel to Pudhupettai. Well, don't be surprised if in future a director comes up with the script of Pudhupettai 2. Having said that, will Dhanush's elder brother Selvaraghavan come up with the script of Pudhupettai 2

after learning about Dhanush's open request? That has to be seen in the future. Pudhupettai  is a classic Tamil gangster film that was directed by Selvaraghavan starring Dhanush, Sneha and Sonia Agarwal in the lead. The film was a success at the box office

and was also critically acclaimed for its picturization. The film's music which was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja was a huge hit. The entire music, including the background score was composed in Thailand,

where Yuvan worked together with the Chao Phraya Symphony Orchestra of Bangkok. Several traditional Thai musical instruments including Khim and Southuu were used for the orchestration.
