10 Reasons Why Jayam Ravi's Thani Oruvan Will Be A Massive Hit

With tremendous hype being created around movies like Vijay's Puli and Ajith's Thala 56, Jayam Ravi's Thani Oruvan has gone largely unnoticed even as the movie is set to scorch the big screen all over the world this Friday (August 28th). M Raja, the director of this flick, who also happens to be Jayam Ravi's elder brother has found success

as a filmmaker by remaking super hit movies of other languages. But in a recent interview, the Velayudham director had clarified that Thani Oruvan is an original script and that the film is close to his heart.

But not all pet projects come with a guaranteed success as many external factors may go on to decide the box office triumph of any given movie. So when it comes to Thani Oruvan, has the director put together all

such factors in order to taste yet another victory? Well he certainly has, it looks that way at least on the paper.

To justify the above mentioned statement, I have come up with 10 reasons why Thani Oruvan could be a massive hit

Tried And Tested Concept Thani Oruvan's concept is not something new to cinema. Though it may sound clichéd, the concept of good vs evil has always found success, provided how a filmmaker decides to portray it.

Prominence For Antagonist The true potential of a protagonist can be exposed only by an antagonist. This being the case, a play or a film can be made that much more interesting by giving prominence to its villain. The makers of Thani Oruvan have done just that by roping in Arvind Swamy to portray the role of a baddie. Also, a song has been assigned to him glorifying his evil deeds.

Content Driven Going by the teaser and trailer of the film, it looks like Thani Oruvan is a content driven project. Adding to that the star value this film boasts of, I can't think of a reason why this film should be a box office dud.

Hot Pairs Talking about the star value, Thani Oruvan has a couple of hot pairs. While Jayam Ravi will romance Nayantara for the first time on the big screen, Arvind Swamy has been paired opposite Hindi actress Mugdha Godse.

Tremendous Casting Apart from the lead pairs, the movie also houses some tremendous performers like Nassar, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sanjana Singh, Vamsi Krishna and Thambi Ramaiah.

Sleek Visuals The visuals that was served up in the trailer looked sleek and promising. If that is what the entire movie has to offer, we are in for a grand visual experience.

Good Music After producing a winning album in Aambala, Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi is back with yet another solid album. Tracks like 'Theemai Thaan Vellum' and 'Kadhal Cricket' are already catching the attention of many and the background score too is expected to be of high quality.

Less Hype As mentioned earlier, there are hardly any hype surrounding the movie and that might be a blessing in disguise for Thani Oruvan.

Strong Technical Crew With Ramji of Paruthiveeran and Mayakkam Enna fame handling the camera and V Gopikrishna taking care of the editing, the movie boasts of a strong technical crew. Also, since it is being bankrolled by AGS Entertainment, good production value is also expected from Thani Oruvan.

Bankable Director And last but certainly not the least, this film has a bankable director. Though M Raja has largely taken up 'safe scripts' so far in his career, the filmmaker sure knows how to deliver a hit movie which might come into play at the end of the day.
