Rowan Atkinson aka Mr. Bean Birthday: Interesting Facts

It is the birthday of our favourite comedian, Rowan Atkinson. The British actor who is well known for playing Mr. Bean turns 60 today. Rowan Atkinson has always entertained us and made us laugh with his roles. Be it movies, TV or his on-stage performances, Atkinson, is one of the hilarious talents we all love. He doesn't mind making fun of himself,
giving us laughter with those expressions and showing the considerable physical entanglements. We all know the character on-screen, but not much about his off-screen life. Thus, we decided to take a look at some interesting facts about Mr. Bean aka Rowan Atkinson. Did you know, the British actor

went to school with future Prime Minister, Tony Blair. Rowan Atkinson is also well educated. He studied electrical engineering at Newscastle University and continued the degree of M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering in Queen's College, Oxford. Another interesting fact about Rowan Atkinson is, he loves driving cars and lorries.

Tony Blair was his classmate The British actor went to school with future Prime Minister, Tony Blair.

His obsession with cars Like a man, Rowan too loves cars. His first car was a Morris Minor on the family farm. He owns McLaren F1, Renault 5 GT Turbo, Austin Metro Audi A8 and a Honda Civic Hybrid to name a few. Rowan has also written for British car magazines.

Lorries too One of the biggest moments of his life was when Atkinson got Class 1 license to drive a lorry (semi-truck) in 1980. He used this new skill for a sketch during the "Not the Nine O'Clock News" titled "I Love Trucking".

But hates Porsche Atkinson once said, "I have a problem with Porsches. They're wonderful cars, but I know I could never live with one. Somehow, the typical Porsche people - and I wish them no ill - are not, I feel, my kind of people. I don't go around saying that Porsches are a pile of dung, but I do know that psychologically I couldn't handle owning one."
