Book Your Tickets Right Away! Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum (NPNO) Plot : As the title suggests, the movie revolves around four Policemen in a village that hardly requires the service of the police department.
Such is the tranquility this village is blessed with. When there are absolutely no threats to the serenity of a particular place, quite naturally, policemen guarding that place will have to kill time by other means and that's exactly what is narrated in this flick with a touch of comedy. When everything seems
to be peaceful for the central characters, their superiors decide to shut down the police station allotted to them saying that a place doesn't require a police station if it doesn't function as expected. With their department's abrupt decision, the 4 policemen go into a depression mode. But with no
intentions of giving up easily, they decide to spring into action. What do they do to retain their position without having to get transferred to a new place? Will their village get its lost police station? These questions are answered in the rest of the film. Performances: When it comes to the performances,
comedian Singam Puli walks away with all the accolades especially in the first half. Arulnithi's acting is restrained in many ways. There are certain scenes in which he underplays his character where he could've easily emoted in a much better way. Rest of the supporting actors do not have
much to prove in this film. Even heroine Remya Nambeesan doesn't have much of a screen space. Technicalities: Though the first half has enough in it to keep you interested, the movie loses its grip in the second half as the director NJ Srikrishna has chosen to replace comedy with a wave of melodrama
which hasn't worked out well. While the first half is a fun riot, the second half is draggy and begins to test your patience. Background score by BR Rejin is surprisingly good which is a positive but his song has hardly any impact at all. Cinematography by Mahesh Muthuswami is quite refreshing. But
the cameraman has failed to experiment with new angles as he had done in his previous movies which comes across as a disappointment. Editor VJ Sabu Joseph could've used a little more of his virtual
scissors in the second half to make the movie engrossing. Overall View: With a theme as unique as this, Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum
could've been much better had it been executed with little more intent. The movie is a rough mixture of comedy and drama in inappropriate proportions.
First Comedy Movie This is Arulnithi's first comedy flick. The actor who is known for his commendable script selection has once again proved his ability of selecting unique films. Naalu Policeum Nalla Irundha Oorum sure has an interesting theme.
The Commencement Principal photography started way back in December 2013, according to a report. Back then, Arulnithi had reportedly revealed that he is playing a day-dreaming cop in the movie.
The Team Four cops in the movie is played by Arulnithi, comedian Singam Puli, Bagavathi Perumal and Rajkumar of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame.
The Heroine This is just the eighth Tamil movie for Remya Nambeesan. The actress who is seen more in Malayalam movies has a couple of Tamil films lined up. While her Rendavathu Padam has been Indefinitely delayed another Tamil project is in pre-production mode.
Stunt Sequences Almost all the stunt sequences are laced with comedy in this film. The team had shot a particular action scene at Binny Mills in Chennai during February last year.
Track List There are three songs in the track list. While 'Kadhal Kani Rasam Ethu Nadakuthu' has been sung by Harihara Sudhan of Star Vijay TV's Super Singer fame, 'Kadhal Kani Rasam' is sung by MM Madhu and JSK Shruthi. The remix version of the same is sung by Mohamed Aslam and Nincy
The Satellite Rights Satellite rights of the movie has been bagged by Star Vijay. The channel, like the hero of this flick, has been bagging some interesting films of late.
The Production House This is the third venture for the production house Leo Visions. Their previous two movies were Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara. Both were declared hit at the box office.
